Allstream Network Cost Analyst Sr in Vancouver, Washington
Perform various Cost of Goods sold analysis and reporting responsibilities, including complex adhoc reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These responsibilities must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.) *Perform complex Cost of Goods Sold account analysis including disputes. *Knowledge of ICC, MSS, and Salesforce *Telecom Experience minimum 3-5 years *Read and understand contracts, tariffs and service agreements *Analytical skills and initiative in researching and/or resolving billing discrepancies with various telecommunication suppliers *Provide assistance to external auditors as needed. *Perform analysis of complex Network Cost Management vendor data. *Perform other related duties or projects as required or assigned. *Assist in Revenue/COGS alignment monthly variances identifying unmatched circuits, missed disconnects. *Schedule/maintain reports for COGS *Assist Dispute Escalation Team with potential disputes *A point of contact for NCM reporting needs outside of financial reporting. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: *Provide assistance to Network Cost Management team members as needed. *Provide assistance to the Finance department as needed regarding various charges. *Provide assistance to other departments related to circuit data integrity/validity. SCOPE: Works under general supervision in a team environment. No direct supervisory responsibility however may provide direction to less senior employees within the department. Handles confidential information with discretion. Must meet inflexible deadlines. Errors could cause improper reporting of financial status and impact short and long-term financial decisions. Position performs multiple tasks in an environment of changing priorities. Frequent internal contact with all levels of employees; moderate amount of external contact with auditors and vendors. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated knowledge (3-5 years) of Telecommunication circuit types and uses i.e. naming conventions, provisioning-ordering systems and experience applying knowledge of general telecommunication principles and procedures to be able to identify activity and ownership of the data. Detail orientation and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and meet inflexible deadlines. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prepare reports in a timely manner. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform a high volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Experience using Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of the Oracle financial accounting system, View Logic and TEOCO processing systems. Experience working within the telecommunications industry.
