This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. Successful candidates will live in the surrounding areas and be eligible to work in the United States. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of the network to support business operations. This position typically requires a high level of expertise and experience in network administration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Designs, configures, and implements network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems, to meet the organization's requirements. Performs routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades to ensure network reliability and performance. Troubleshoots and resolves network issues promptly. Implements and maintains network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to protect the organization's data and resources. Continuously monitor network performance and optimizes network resources to ensure efficient data transmission and minimal downtime. Maintains accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures. Creates diagrams and network maps for reference. Assesses current network capacity and plan for future growth, making recommendations for hardware and software upgrades as needed. Interacts with network equipment vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services and ensure vendor support agreements are upheld. Develops and enforces network policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and security. Collaborates with the IT team, including system administrators, security analysts, and helpdesk staff, to resolve cross-functional issues and ensure a seamless IT environment.
