POSITION SUMMARY: The Equipment Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the processes and procedures we have put in place are implemented effectively. They focus primarily on the management of the company fleet but provide assistance in a variety of ways to drive the department towards excellence. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Work with project management to assess, plan, and deliver on equipment needs. Manage all aspects of company owned and leased vehicles to ensure they are maintained properly, operated safely, and in good working condition. Titles, registration, insurance, tolls, etc. Maintenance notifications and coordination Telematics system management and reporting Establish great working relationships with project teams and vendors. Assist with issuing and tracking the vehicle allowance program. Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and insurance claims on equipment. Setup, maintain, and close out equipment rental purchase orders. MIC internal trucking project administration Setup phase codes, bill internal trucking costs to project, issue purchase orders to external trucking companies Assist Fleet manager in fulfilling equipment requests submitted by project teams Manage onboarding, benefit, and payroll activities. Posting work order costs weekly Generate reports out of Viewpoint for fleet and equipment analysis Issuing equipment department purchase orders Monthly rental unit insurance allocation Equipment data entry into various systems Other administrative duties as assigned to support general equipment department operation Qualifications EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 1-3 years of construction industry experience/knowledge of constructio Bachelor degree in Business or Construction Management or 4 years of construction experience. Proficient in using Microsoft Suite Programs KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations. When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors. Set a personal example of safe behavior. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Viewpoint and Construction Software techniques, estimating and construction management. Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general public.
