The Education Coordinator I is responsible for engaging and educating through the credit union's high school branch programs through financial literacy and education. While promoting iQ through events, promotions, and partnership opportunities in the community. Help support in financial education curriculum and develop and lead virtual, in-person, and high school events along with community events. Provides support with marketing department strategy by strengthening brand awareness. Essential Duties: Provide support to education related programs offered by the Credit Union including, but not limited to, financial literacy curriculum, Read With Me program and school calendars. Develop and maintain relationships with K-12 students, teachers, school and community partners to expand educational impact. Conduct instructor and student training related to campus branch operations and member service during summer and ongoing throughout the year. New account and membership training Student leadership BAI records and assignments as required by State and Federal law Coordinate and conduct classroom presentations and financial reality fairs for local schools to provide personal financial information/education to students. Ensure adherence to school district guidelines regarding safety and best practices for interacting with youth. Responsible for financial education within assigned region, including new and current Washington branches and future Oregon expansion. Present financial literacy curriculum to unique communities we serve, business partners and/or employee groups. Develop and implement strategies to increase community outreach and identify new financial education presentation opportunities through cold calls to potential companies, use of email marketing campaigns in HubSpot and networking on-site at community partner locations. Represent the Credit Union at school orientations and community events. Assist with ongoing training at the campus branches as needed. Recruit and coordinate Credit Union and community volunteers to participate in financial reality fairs and other Credit Union sponsored events. Provide support to the coordination and promotion of student internships with associate branch managers. Proactively assist Campus Branch staff with the resources and tools to mitigate problems, errors in balancing and member complaints. Use sound judgement to escalate issues and concerns to the Education Program Manager as necessary. Utilize sales, referral, and services skills to respond to the needs of businesses, organizations, and schools in a timely and professional manner. Conduct frequent weekday visits to assigned Campus Branch sites to provide support, coverage during instructor absences, and assess operational and training needs (1 visit per week to each individual school min). Maintain appropriate cash balances and assist with transporting cash and/or other documents to and from the branches. Promote and support financial literacy in the Campus Branch program. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Credit Union policy, procedures and documentation related to new accounts, member transactions, cash, and check negotiability. Be present for various
