About the Role:
As the Emergency Department Director, you will be the driving force behind our commitment to delivering exceptional medicine and compassionate care. You'll lead and direct nursing practice and clinical functions, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient experience. You will work closely with leadership across the organization to maximize operational efficiencies and meet capital and operating budget goals. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, variable position.

Competitive Salary: $166,296 – $249,454 annual salary. (The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct nursing practice and clinical functions within the Emergency Department.
Develop and implement patient care programs that improve quality and outcomes.
Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
Manage operational units, including personnel management, fiscal accountability, and operational effectiveness.
Promote a culture of safety, quality improvement, and service excellence.
Champion change, facilitate redesign, and implement systems and processes to maintain regulatory compliance.
Develop and manage budgets for assigned operational departments.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare required.
Minimum of five years of progressive ED nursing leadership experience, including three years in an Emergency Department manager role.
Clinical expertise in emergency nursing required.
Experience in federal and state regulatory healthcare compliance (e.g., CMS, The Joint Commission, DVN, Department of Health) required.
Demonstrated experience achieving Emergency Department quality metrics.
Demonstrated success working across functional departments.
Previous trauma center experience required.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
Certification in specialty required within 3 years.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Excellent critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Knowledge and experience in program development.
Demonstrated success in operations and financial management.
