ABOUT THE JOB:

The Director of Cost Accounting will lead and oversee the cost accounting functions within the organization. This leadership role is responsible for managing the cost accounting team and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of all operations-related financial data. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, and FP&A, to provide critical insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- - Lead, mentor, and develop the cost accounting team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

- - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability within the team.

- - Contribute to the monthly and quarterly close process, specifically in ensuring consistent application of methodologies and accounting policies, along with the planning, coordination and scheduling of the monthly and quarterly close activities

- - Oversee the development and maintenance of accurate cost accounting systems, including standard cost development and cost allocation.

- - Direct the cost accounting process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

- - Provide detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
