Job Summary
The Director of HP Solutions Software Program and Portfolio Management is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to ensure the successful completion of software programs on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Program Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, testers, and other stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software deliverables meet quality standards and align with client requirements.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies.
Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and status reports.
Education & Experience Recommended
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software program management or a related role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project), and a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage conflicts, and drive project success.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to various stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges and resolve issues.
Preferred Certifications
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
Work Environment
The HP Solutions Software Program Manager will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, often managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role may require occasional travel and the ability to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines

The base pay range for this role is $159,650 to $239,500 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
