PeaceHealth Credentialed Trainer - CareConnect - Hybrid in Vancouver, Washington

PeaceHealth is seeking a Credentialed Trainer - CareConnect for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.

Delivers initial and ongoing CareConnect training; both in-person and using remote instructor-led training methodology. Uses best-practice adult leaning principles to support quality delivery. Participates in system-wide initiatives that impact CareConnect workflows and supports changes after implementation. Assists instructional designers with the development and testing of curriculum. Provides in-person and remote support to resolve questions and training related help-desk tickets. Rounds in facilities to resolve issues or deliver information. Works with the leadership team to identify strategies for improvement.

Essential Functions

  • Presents role-based training curriculum to caregivers, in support of system and department policies, procedures and practices. Incorporates adult learning principles and contemporary teaching strategies into training delivery.

  • Uses standard templates, tools, and processes in training delivery, competency validation and documentation.

  • Collaborates with other training teams to deliver discipline specific training related to quality improvement or process changes and provides support as-needed after implementation.

  • Assesses student satisfaction and evaluates training effectiveness. Assists instructional designer with creation or revision of training materials when requested.

  • Performs rounding for designated populations and assists in the resolution of issues identified by leadership or through the issue tracking system.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with caregivers and leadership in the networks they support.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience.

  • Additional training and certifications in adult learning or education preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in a training or education role, healthcare-related lead, EHR support specialist, super user or preceptor role.

  • Experience in Epic or other similar electronic medical programs preferred.

  • Experience with learning management systems preferred.

Credentials

  • EPIC Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Skills

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) (Required)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Required)

  • Experience with adult learning principles, training delivery and classroom management (Required)

  • Experience with projection equipment and/or webinar technology (Required)

  • Experience with learning management systems (Required)

  • Experience with remote instructor led training and/or virtual learning modalities (Required)

  • Ability to travel throughout the networks up to 25% of the time (Required)

  • Be willing to flex schedule as required to ensure required training timelines are met (Required)

Working Conditions

  • Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

  • Sedentary work.

  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.

  • Some time spent on site in medical/hospital setting.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $24.96 – $37.44. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

Job Summary

PeaceHealth requires a completed Primary Vaccine Series (e.g., 2 dose monovalent Pfizer, Moderna or Novavax series or 1 dose J&J vaccine series) or be Up to Date (receiving the most recent Pfizer/Moderna bivalent vaccine/booster) for COVID-19 vaccination prior to their start date. PeaceHealth has a medical and religious exemption request process for those that are unable to receive the COVID-19 primary vaccine series due to medical/religious reasons. For caregivers that will be working in Oregon there is a personal vaccine exemption form that may be requested.
