Description Sue Sumrell isr recruiting for our client seeking a Controller who has a knack for leading with high standards, positively motivating others, and making critical decisions and has experience taking charge of accounting and finance for a growing company!! Planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff will be essential for this role. You will succeed in this position if you can lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability. What you get to do every day

• Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals - Capable of handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties - Present financial reports to executive committee each month - Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts - Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible - Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis - Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementa - Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll - Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time
