Location: Vancouver, Washington Type: Contract Job #7353 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. The Business Systems Analyst will assist the assigned organization by performing database deployments, systems analysis, interfacing with users, analysis of tools and techniques to support the development of systems, as well as troubleshooting, analysis, performance monitoring and improvement of the critical systems used by dispatchers to monitor, control, and optimize the power grid. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. With manager oversight and approval: Review and validate configuration management policies and procedures provide thorough requirements traceability through version release, and adequate documentation to support system operation and maintenance. Prepare and conduct program presentations, in-house and client training, and functional education. Develop and present recommendations and supporting analysis for management decisions. Prepare technical reports, documents, studies, and system documentation as required. Confer with system users to document and solve existing system problems. Communicate to management and co-workers by telephone, written form, e-mail, or in person. Support organization change processes and configuration management efforts. Serve as a process point of contact for the organization. Define, develop, and document new processes and procedures as required. Support process and procedure roll-out. Support ongoing compliance with those processes and procedures. Assist with developing and documenting processes and procedures to support a wide variety of mandatory reliability standards and security requirements including those for North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), the Department of Energy's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). Assist with developing training materials and job aids to support above activities and efforts. Support the development of necessary documentation to support reporting and audit requirements. Provide quality assurance for organization to verify compliance to above standards and guidelines. Provide support to NERC annual certification process and any other spot audits or compliance requests. Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails, and records in accordance with compliance requirements. Share and disperse documents only to appropriate personnel (those with a Lawful Government Purpose (LGP) to know). Mark and maintain all official records in accordance with the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures. Validate official records are accurately maintained for auditing purposes.
