DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for operating and maintaining railroad drawbridges.It requires communication by telephone,two-wayradio, lifting or swinging of drawbridges for safe passage of vessels or trains accordingly. DIRECT MARINE AND RAILROAD TRAFFIC Raise and lowerthelift bridgeas needed Coordinate withMaintenance of Way gangs and B&B personnel Protect personnel/equipment during train movement COMMUNICATION Operate railroad radio, marine radio, and phones Communicate withpersonnel, as needed, for proper train movement The duties and responsibilities in this posting are representative categories to be used in deciding whether to apply for this position.
