Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Vancouver, Washington

Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. This is a long-term contract position offering a hybrid workplace with a majority of work being conducted remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems to process and manage customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Responsible for maintaining and updating accurate customer credit records in the system

• Handle account coding tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

• Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to oversee and manage accounting functions and accounts payable

• Implement ADP - Financial Services for efficient financial management and operations

• Manage payable invoices on a weekly basis, ensuring timely payment and accurate record-keeping

• Use Concur software to manage and streamline expense processes within the organization

• Practice accrual accounting techniques to manage and record financial transactions and events

• Conduct regular auditing of accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Operate Automated Clearing House (ACH) for electronic payments and collections.

Requirements • Proficiency in account coding and accrual accounting principles.

• Experience with accounting software systems, ADP - Financial Services, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Familiarity with Concur and other relevant software.

• Understanding of accounting functions and accounts payable processes.

• Experience with accounts payable (AP) procedures and auditing.

• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Ability to manage payable invoices and weekly account payable tasks.

• Should possess strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.

• Prior experience in an accounts payable role is beneficial.
