responsibilities:

As the newest member of this tight-knit family, you will be tasked with:

• Being the main POC for the company's Accounting function and some HR

• General Ledger - Prepping monthly financial statements, tracking equipment purchases, monitoring cash flow and petty cash, Washington B&O Report

• Working directly with CPA to prep tax return and helping to prep for financial audits and/or reviews

• Accounts Payable - Entering payables, printing and mailing checks, filing, prepping 1099 forms, processing new vendor applications

• Accounts Receivable - Posting BOL's, posting cash receipts, creating invoices, entering change orders, signing and transmitting lien waivers, setting up new jobs and new job files, collections, monitoring lien dates, providing and updating insurance certificates, maintaining WA Reseller Certificates

• Payroll - For up to 30 employees on a bi-weekly basis - Keeping accurate documentation with regard to garnishments, PTO/Sick time, COVID hours and tracking employee loans

• Human Resources - Acting as administrator for 401k plan, overseeing insurance enrollment and onboarding, answering questions with regard to benefits, benefit renewals, tracking wages + hours, handling miscellaneous personnel issues as they come up

• Special Projects may include; excise tax audit, payroll tax notices, Year-End Reporting, Liability Insurance renewal, US DOL Annual Refiling Survey and other potential projects as needed

qualifications:

To be successful in this position, you'll need:

• +5 years of experience in a Construction or Manufacturing environment - Project-based accounting experience is a major plus!

• +2 years of experience utilizing MAS500 or other Sage-based software

• +2 years of experience doing payroll - ADP experience is preferred!

• Computer savvy

• Ability to work autonomously and with very little supervision

• Strong communication skills

• Experience working for a small, private company
