The Neil Jones Food Company is looking for a 3rd Shift Human Resources Assistant I* *at our Northwest Packing facility in Vancouver, WA. The Neil Jones Food Company processes superior quality, fresh packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. With headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation's discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 35 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
Summary: Provides human resources administrative and clerical support to one or more areas of Human Resources at a unionized manufacturing facility. This is a non-exempt, part-time, 3^rd^ shift,11:00 pm -- 7:30 am, position (full-time during pack season, generally July -- November, part-time the rest of the year).

Key Responsibilities:
- Communicates basic information to employees according to human resources programs and policies.
- Compiles information, prepares and processes a wide variety of personnel action forms containing confidential and sensitive information
- Responds to routine inquiries about HR programs and directs employees to appropriate program information.
- Maintains accurate employee files and records in compliance with company policies.
Performs basic employee record keeping and screening activities; helps coordinate hourly hiring activities with line management; may enter employee information into HRIS systems and coordinates non-union hires with corporate payroll.
Requirements:* *
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or advanced coursework in human resources preferred; or, any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the position.
- 2 years' general office experience; human resources and workforce scheduling experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, and credit screen, and work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.

Compensation:
The wage range is \$18.03 - \$22.54, based on a candidate's experience and qualifications, along with a \$1 per hour 3rd shift differential.
