SOAR Coordinator - Posting #25762

Hourly Rate: $23.50

Position Summary:

Sea Mar Behavioral Health’s diverse and quickly expanding program is seeking a full-time SOAR Coordinator for its Vancouver Behavioral Health Program located at the CSNW Meriwether (formerly known as Community Services NW). The SOAR Coordinator works autonomously and collectively as an empowered staff member of Sea Mar Community Health Centers. Participates in the design, implementation, and ongoing delivery of services. This position primarily works with the PATH and Housing teams. This position is responsible for own caseload, providing the organization and community with consultations regarding the SOAR process, and for designing and implementing program standards essential to success of the CF PATH SOAR program. This position is also responsible for receiving referrals, screening for potential SOAR candidates, completing SOAR applications, and developing key contacts in the community to offer SOAR technical assistance. This is not a full comprehensive list of Duties/Responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A strong background in both community mental health and evidence-based practices.

  • A strong commitment to the right of each client to have access to helpful, competent, and individually tailored support and services.

  • A strong commitment to working collaboratively, assertively and interdependently with co-workers.

  • Promote and respect the worth and dignity of the client. Promote and reinforce the client's functioning within the community.

  • Must possess the skills and competence necessary to establish and maintain supportive, collaborative, and therapeutically effective relationships with clients.

  • Ability to develop, coordinate and evaluate the CF PATH SOAR program that is designed to improve and possibly expand.

  • Ability to make presentations to Sea Mar staff, civic, and community organizations, and to provide information concerning the program.

  • Ability to develop clear, concise and pertinent procedures, policies, instructions, and manuals necessary to the operation and implementation of the program.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and organize work to satisfactory completion.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel).

Education and/or Experience:

  • Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field

  • Possess or obtain an Agency Affiliated Credential

  • Valid State Driver’s License and access to reliable car

  • Auto Insurance

  • Employee must authorize Sea Mar to obtain current driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (and annually thereafter) to determine employee’s driving eligibility. Driving record must meet Sea Mar’s vehicle insurance carrier’s minimum standards related to driving.
