Position Summary:

Sea Mar Behavioral Health’s diverse and quickly expanding program is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse for its Vancouver Behavioral Health Program located at Rose Village (formerly known as Community Services NW).

This is an RN position working with a specialized behavioral health team (PACT). The Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) is a person-centered recovery-oriented mental health service delivery model that has received substantial empirical support for reducing psychiatric hospitalizations, facilitating community living, and enhancing recovery for persons with serious mental illnesses. PACT is designed specifically for persons who have the most severe and persistent mental illnesses, who have severe symptoms and impairments, and who have not benefited from traditional outpatient programs.  The PACT team consists of Mental Health Professionals, Case Managers, Peer Support Specialists, RNs, ARNPs, and Administrative Support working together to provide comprehensive behavioral health care.

Other duties may be assigned by the NP Director or BH Program Manager.  

Qualification and/or Education:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree. RN or equivalent is required.

  • Must be licensed in the State of Washington to practice as a registered nurse.

  • Must have at least one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting. Previous ambulatory care and consultation experience is desired.

  • Must have experience working with a wide range of patient age groups and health concerns.

  • Must attain the state mandated HIV education.

  • Must pass TB test at time of hire and annually thereafter. Must receive flu vaccine annually.

  • This position must obtain a CPR certificate within 90 days of hire date and is required to maintain CPR certificate throughout employment.

  • Must have the ability to travel between locations and work and able to work in the community.

  • Must have access to a car, possess a valid driver’s license and current auto registration.

  • Must authorize Sea Mar to obtain current driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (and annually thereafter) to determine driving eligibility.  Driving record must meet Sea Mar’s vehicle insurance carrier’s minimum standards related to driving for the purpose of determining eligibility.

  • Must provide Sea Mar proof of auto insurance (upon hire and at renewal time).  Must submit a copy of the endorsements page of their insurance policy to HR. Must carry minimum liability coverage required by the state where they reside.
