Department of Ecology Operations Unit Supervisor in Union Gap, Washington

The Water Resources Program{rel="nofollow"}* * within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill an* Operations Unit Supervisor (Environmental Specialist 5)* position. This position is locatedin our *Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

The Operations Unit is a new unit for the region. The successful applicant will work with the Section Manager to transition staff from other units into the new unit and help to build that team's cohesiveness.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who is detail and process oriented and enjoys helping others navigate change. In this role, you will be at the forefront of modernization of our water right permitting process and will become intimately involved in the varied and complex work of the Water Resources Program. You will gain supervisor experience while leading a team of Water Resources professionals working on database management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping, water use metering, customer service, and well construction tracking as well as working with other supervisors and regions.

Tele-work options for this position: *This position will be eligible for up to a 40% tele-work schedule. *The position must be able to come into the office for meetings, as needed.
