The Water Quality Program *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a *Municipal Facility Management Engineer (Environmental Engineer 2) position. This position is located in our Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA{rel="nofollow"}. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. In this position, you will support our mission and represent the Water Quality Program as an Environmental Engineer responsible for the engineering and regulatory oversight of Central Region municipal wastewater treatment plants in order to protect water quality. Duties include providing independent and/or review of engineering reports and design documents for municipal wastewater facilities and developing National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) or State Waste Discharge (SWD) permits for these facilities. You will also work with other internal staff when needed to provide technical assistance support to permitted facilities, to provide guidance on financial assistance, and to develop compliance or enforcement actions.
