Department of Ecology Hazardous Waste Specialist - Pollution Prevention in Union Gap, Washington

In this position, you can develop and apply your knowledge and experience to provide technical assistance in pollution prevention, safer chemical use, green chemistry, and hazardous waste management. The Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction Program is looking to fill a Pollution Prevention specialist position. This position will be located in our Central Regional Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA.The mission of the Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction (HWTR) Program is to protect Washington’s residents and environment by reducing the use of toxic chemicals, safely managing dangerous waste, preventing new contaminated sites, and cleaning up contamination. The HWTR vision is to be national leaders in minimizing and eliminating the impacts of toxic chemicals and hazardous waste.
