Harper & Harper Enterprises NW Tow Truck Operator in Tumwater, Washington
We are seeking a Tow Truck Operator to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). CDL training available for the right candidate with prior towing experience.
We have immediate openings for well-groomed, highly motivated, energetic and drug-free light/medium duty tow truck operators. A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD IS REQUIRED.This job involves removing vehicles from accident scenes under the direction of law enforcement and transporting disabled vehicles to customer destinations. Other duties include jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, fuel deliveries, and sometimes minor roadside repair. Must be able to maintain a clean tow truck, have good customer service skills, and move with a sense of urgency. All applicants must have good work ethic, a great attitude and always have safety in mind. Need to reside in town (Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater) and MUST BE ABLE TO PARK A TOW TRUCK AT YOUR RESIDENCE.
Responsibilities:
*Safely operate a medium duty truck *Load and unload cargo *Properly track and document activity log *Report any issues or incidents to dispatch *Inspect truck before and after trip
Qualifications:
*Previous experience in towing, truck driving or other related fields *Valid driver's license and provide us with three year driving abstract *Ability to handle physical workload *Strong work ethic *Basic math skills *Customer service *Dependability
Requirements:
*Must be able to work days and nights *Must be able to work holidays and weekends *Must be 23 years old (due to insurance requirements) *Must be able to lift 65 lbs *Must pass WSP background check in accordance with WAC 204-91A-050 *Must be able to pass random drug screens *Must live in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater or Tenino
