This is what you'll do As a Tax Service Representative and a member of the Telephone Information Center, you will assist worldwide taxpayers or their representative with business licensing, tax liability, reporting responsibility and filing inquiries.

Some more of what you will do

  • Research and investigate accuracy to all customer responses.
  • Advise customers of the rights and responsibilities as a taxpayer.
  • Provide direction to online forms and completion instructions.
  • Assist customers in online tax return filings through the agency's electronic filing system.
  • Use and instruct taxpayers on how to use applicable agency programs and software applications.

This is what you need Two years of college course work, involving major study in business administration, accounting, public administration, police science, law or closely related field.


Two years of clerk/typist experience involving tax-related work, of which one year must be at the Office Assistant Senior level or above.


Two years of experience in the field of personal finance, law enforcement, adjustment of claims, collection of civil debts or other directly related field.

Additional qualifying experience may substitute, year for year, for education.
