Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required. A minimum of two years' experience in a network administration role is required. Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 R2, Windows 10/11 Operating Systems, Microsoft 365 Business desktop and mobile apps, VEEAM backup software preferred; MCSE, CompTIA Server, and CompTIA Security certification is a plus.

Description: Network Administrator 2 will assist the Director of Operations in the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, and servers within our organization. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the security, stability, and integrity of the IT systems within CH2O. By administrating our system procedures, data backups, hardware integration, software updates, and disaster recovery initiatives, this position will limit the system's downtime and optimize system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provides 3-1 task and project list; checks email, voicemail, and work orders daily.
- Assist in network design and implementation.
- Provide network support with a variety of operating systems.
- Install and configure computer network equipment.
- Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
- Provide network and computer support for internal and external users.
- Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.
- Assist in the development and monitoring policies for the use of system resources.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
- Monitor system to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform administrator functions for server, network, website, CH2O Reports, CRM, and Intranet creating and maintain network users/permissions.
- Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.
- Create technical support documentation for systems and applications.
- Assists in guidance and training of Network Administrator 1.
Requirements:
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts.
- Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills.
- Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of computing infrastructures.
- Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues.
- Ability to employ investigative research procedures, including report writing and evaluation.
- Able to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
- Able to communicate effectively.
