The Financial Services Division provides leadership and support for agency priorities and programs through quality financial and operational management, including budgeting, contracting, grant management, purchasing, and accounting services. We ensure financial compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in addition to performing agency-wide financial activities. The Fiscal Analyst 1 position supports the agency's work by ensuring that all monies received are posted accurately and deposited within 24 hours of receipt and that all DOH revenue records are analyzed and reconciled to maintained reports. This position also leads three fiscal technician 2 employees as they perform daily cash receipting tasks. We also offer: * A* healthy life/work balance by offering flexible schedules and telework options for many positions. * Growth and development opportunities. * A wellness program that offers education, access to healthy food, and fitness classes. * Opportunities to serve your community through meaningful work. * A commitment to diversity and inclusion fosters an inclusive environment that encourages all employees to bring their authentic selves to work. * An Infant at Work Program based on the long-term health values of breastfeeding newborns and infant-parent bonding. * A modernized workplace. *Duties Include * Plan, assign, and review the work of staff, adjusting assignments to maintain adequate staffing levels. * As a member of the remit processor team, open mail, prepare documents for processing, run the remittance processor to deposit cash and checks. * Review, analyze and verify reports are correct and correct discrepancies as necessary. * Access the Treasury Management System and AFRS to prepare and review fiscal documents posted for cash receipts. * Ensure revenue source entries are correct for monies received from other agencies and the state treasurer. * Assist in the preparation of fiscal reports and provide recommendations to management. * Analyze and interprets accounting and financial records and reports produced by automated and manual systems. * Provide expert technical assistance to internal and external customers * Analyze and correct discrepancies for cash receipts and reconcile daily credit card activity. * Train new employees in all duties related to cash receipts * Subject matter expert for OPEX Scanners and Remit Plus Software and assist IT with testing. * Work with vendors to perform routine maintenance and system updates. Required Qualifications * Two (2) years of professional-level experience in accounting or finance, including experience applying state laws, rules, policies and guidelines. * Accurately use a 10-key calculator by touch. * MS Outlook: Ability to create, modify, and respond to emails and calendar appointments. * MS Excel: Ability to create, modify, format, and print spreadsheets, find and replace data, and work with basic formulas and functions. * Microsoft Word: Ability to create, format, and edit documents. Desired Qualifications * * Knowledge and experience using the following state systems: ILRS, Cybersource, Financial Toolbox, Treasury Management System (TM$), and/or Agency Financial Reporting System (AFRS). * 15 quarter or 9 semester credit hours of college-level course work in Accounting, Auditing, or Budgeting. * Bachelor's Degree in a financial related field. * Two (2) years of working knowledge of governmental accounting. * Two or more years experience with state reporting systems: AFRS, Enterprise Reporting *Application Process Intrigued?
