Duties Working in a professional, collaborative environment, you will be responsible for processing requests for goods and services received from agency team members. You will determine the best prices and availability of items within the state’s rules and regulations, and you will ensure general authority purchase limitations are not exceeded. You will coordinate with other fiscal professionals to ensure goods and services are received and invoices paid in a timely manner. You will contact vendors, as needed, for pricing, delivery or damage issues. You will also maintain an Excel spreadsheet of purchase orders issued, as well as purchases made by credit card. You will track the monthly amounts and ensure they do not exceed the credit card limits. You will identify assets meeting the state’s capitalization policy requirements and ensure they are bar-tagged, then input the assets into the agency’s asset tracking system. You will process disposals for assets sent to surplus and remove them from the agency’s system. You will perform reconciliations for the purchase and disposal of assets. You will also perform an annual inventory and reconcile with the agency’s asset records prior to fiscal year-end. You will also serve as the custodian of the agency’s petty cash fund. You will maintain the check register in Excel and disburse petty cash, as needed and authorized, for goods and services. You will also balance and reconcile the petty cash fund. Qualifications The qualifications for this position include: * At least two years of experience providing fiscally-oriented clerical support in a professional work environment; * Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (version 2013 or newer); * Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and respond to frequent changes in workload and priorities; and * Demonstrated proficiency in the following competency areas: Dependability Shows commitment, dedication and accountability in work.
