Position Overview The Electrical Engineer - Power Studies, Associate Intern contributes electrical engineering technical knowledge to complete projects to deliver quality reports and assessments to internal clients. Typical projects include assessments of protection and control settings for coal, gas, hydro, solar, and wind power generation sites to determine compliance with applicable NERC standards. Deliverables include drawing markups, recommendations and conclusions on existing settings, and recommended changes if necessary. Responsibilities Execute work on multiple projects in parallel. Carry out responsible and varied assignments requiring general familiarity in the field of power of engineering. Problems usually solved by use of combinations of standard procedures or methods developed by others. Makes independent technical recommendations for small independent projects/studies. Independently takes care of internal client concerns. Deadline proficient and detail orientated with a high level of organizational skill.
