Please Note: This recruitment is for a non-permanent position (up to 7 months). This position may be located in Tumwater, Vancouver or Kelso. This position serves as the primary assistant to the Region 4 Regional Program Manager (RPM) and provides administrative support for the five programs that report to the RPM including Collections, Audit, Investigations, Employment Standards, and Early Return to Work. As the administrative assistant, you will have delegated authority from the RPM for monitoring and projecting expenditures for the region within each area of responsibility. You will analyze and modify expenditures and budgeted allocations to ensure program cost control and adherence to program planning decisions. Some of what you’ll do: *Provide administrative support to the Regional Program Manager. *Manage daily calendar, organize and schedule meetings for the Regional Program Manager. *Make travel arrangements. *Serve as liaison between managers and program staff to transmit assignments or information and requesting status and reporting information to ensure deadlines are met. *Independently draft and review confidential correspondence for the Regional Program Manager. *Edits and proofreads communications. *Assists the Regional Program Manager in developing and maintaining the region’s Outreach Plan to provide focus in the way we do business. *Act as the regional Business Continuity Program contact. *Provide new and replacement ID badges and agent ID cards for regional staff and act as a liaison between supervisors and Risk Management to ensure issuance of cards. *Assist the Regional Program Manager and Supervisors with coordination of recruitments packets and documents. *Serve as a backup to the Administrative Assistant 4 for a variety of duties. *And much more! Qualifications REQUIRED: High School graduation or GEDANDThree years of progressively responsible experience in office, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work. Formal education and/or training in office or secretarial occupations, bookkeeping or accounting will substitute, year for year, for experience.
