Providence St. Joseph Health Pharmacist Intern in Tukwila, Washington

Description The Pharmacy Intern is responsible for interpreting, compounding, formulating and monitoring all physician prescriptions and provides the best possible drug therapy to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services patients with the highest professional standards under the supervision of a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Intern works closely with nurses and physicians to ensure patients are receiving quality care that is delivered in a safe and efficient manner. This requires specific knowledge in compounding, dosing and administration of IV solutions, antibiotics and other intravenous therapies. Required Qualifications: Current enrollment in a college of pharmacy accredited by the Accrediting Council for Pharmaceutical Education. Or A graduate pharmacist who meets all legal requirements for licensure in Washington State except for required internship hours that will be completed as an Intern; Or A foreign pharmacist graduate who has successfully passed the FPGEE and TOEFL exams and must complete Washington State required internship hours as an Intern.
