Acadia Healthcare Milieu Coordinator in Tukwila, Washington


Cascade Behavioral Health has an immediate opening for a Milieu Specialist/ITA Court Transport member. This position assists in providing safety needs of patients when transporting them to the hospital Video Court Room by utilizing appropriate therapeutic approaches. They are an active part of the treatment team, providing patient supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from adult through geriatrics.

Job Summary:

Position participates in the direct delivery of patient care by observation, assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADL’s) as needed for court appearances, transferring patients, monitoring and reporting behaviors to the RN and other indicators of mental/behavioral status and results are documented per policy.

The documentation in the medical record consists of Certificate of Service, Twenty-four Hour Treatment Notice, the fourteen, ninety, or one hundred eighty day petitions and progress notes describing patient behaviors while at court as needed.


  • Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing, in a way that is understood by patients, family members and others related to the mental health care team.

  • Previous psychiatric experience or C.N.A. certification preferred

  • Two years’ work experience within the last 3 years in direct patient care preferred


  • Graduate from an accredited High School / GED

  • College credit hours in psychology or related coursework preferred


  • Agency affiliated counselor credential with DOH

  • Current BLS/CPR Certification

  • Crisis prevention training on hire and annually.
