Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity and immediate need on the United States Air Force (USAF) E-7A Program for a First-Line Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Mission Systems Tracker/Performance Analysis team in Tukwila, WA .

In this role, this leader will be responsible for the following areas including, but not limited to: cost account manager (CAM) for the Tracker/Performance Analysis team and lead team execution in the area of modeling and simulation (M&S) as well as analyzing cutting edge sensors and tracking solutions, providing a clear and concise operating picture to the war fighter. This position also has the opportunity to support additional E-7 efforts such as Next Generation Radar, IRAD and proprietary efforts. This position will report directly to the Surveillance and Self Protection Senior Engineering Manager.

The E-7A is the world’s most advanced, capable, and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world. The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It provides situational awareness and can direct other assets such as fighters and warships.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of modeling and simulation, development, integration, testing, and analysis in support of US E-7A program objectives.

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

• Leads performance analysis and IRAD-related tasks and customer directed Studies and Analysis tasks for future upgrades to these systems.

• Cost account manager (CAM) for the Tracker/Performance Analysis IPT.

• Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

• Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

• Three or more years of experience leading or managing engineering projects or teams.

• Five or more years of engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Practiced skills in a Mission Systems IPT role or Mission Systems Tracker/Performance Analysis role and associated technologies, including SW design; system integration; performance analysis; flight test support; and requirements verification.
