Providence Driver/Medical Equipment Maintenance Technician in Tukwila, Washington
Description
$3,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.
This position performs home environmental safety inspections to include safe access into the home, safe use of equipment in a multi-level home, safe use of supplemental oxygen in living environment including smoke detectors and working electrical outlets. Reviews the disaster preparedness instruction pamphlet and patient rights and responsibilities with the patient/caregiver. Performs customer service functions and facilitates minor equipment repairs. Follows The Joint Commission, Oregon State Health Administration, and Oregon Department of Transportation and Washington Department of Transportation regulatory guidelines and completes all required documentation.

Required Qualifications:
Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
Upon hire: In compliance with Providence Health & Services-OR Human Resources policy # 302 'Background Checks' a criminal background check is required for this position prior to hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year experience in the home medical equipment industry.
One (1) year experience in customer service.

About the Team
Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life.
