PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $164,200.00-$200,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $127,900.00 - $237,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

BENEFITS

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As the Director of Retail Remote Solutions, you’ll be at the forefront of driving BECU’s innovation in the Lending Solutions and Video Banking teams. Your leadership will propel these teams to new heights, optimizing their performance, guiding their growth, and aligning them with our broader strategic goals. You’ll foster strong partnerships with Retail Operations leaders, ensuring seamless collaboration and a shared vision. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Craft Strategic Vision: Develop and present a compelling business strategy for Lending Solutions and Video Banking, aimed at growth and optimization, to senior leadership.

  • Build Collaborative Partnerships: Work closely with internal partners to integrate their expertise into your teams, ensuring a cohesive approach to achieving goals.

  • Translate Strategy into Action: Align the overall BECU strategy with the goals of Lending Solutions and Video Banking, driving these teams toward success.

  • Set and Achieve Standards: Define and manage service levels, ensuring that sales, production, and retention goals are consistently met.

  • Advance Technical Capabilities: Collaborate with Retail Operations leaders to drive the technical evolution of Lending Solutions and Video Banking.

  • Lead and Develop Teams: Create an environment of teamwork, communication, and growth by providing developmental opportunities and fostering a culture of empowerment.

  • Design Effective Incentives: Work on the design of variable incentive plans that align with organizational goals, ensuring they drive the desired behaviors.

  • Nurture Talent: Identify and develop key talent, building cross-functional teams that excel in executing initiatives and driving business results.

  • Drive Compliance and Risk Management: Stay ahead of key compliance and lending initiatives, ensuring your teams are aligned with regulatory requirements.

  • Manage Financials: Oversee the operating plan and budget, including compensation projections, to ensure financial targets are met.

  • Enhance Processes: Recommend policy and procedure improvements that enhance service delivery or streamline processes.

  • Stay Legally Savvy: Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws related to mortgage and consumer lending, ensuring compliance across your teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in a people leader role required.

  • Minimum of eight years of financial industry and/or lending team management experience with progressive increased scope of responsibility required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of three years of experience leading remote/video banking teams preferred.

  • Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving skills, customer service, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent financial acumen, analytical, and planning skills (both short- and long-term).

  • Demonstrated experience in building and coaching a team to high performance levels using positive reinforcement, while providing clear feedback and follow-through.

  • Thorough knowledge of BECU products and services, policies and procedures, remote delivery channels, and member service functions.

  • Ability to advance the technical aspects of emerging technology.

  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive consensus.

  • Experience in change management, project management, and strategic planning.

  • Ability to assess and implement organizational changes.
