PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $164,200.00-$200,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $127,900.00 - $237,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

The Director of Retail Delivery Strategy is tasked with implementing the strategic plan for the retail channel and overseeing innovations and growth initiatives. This role manages the execution of key retail strategies, ensures alignment across divisions, and fosters collaboration to achieve set goals. The director also handles relationships with key vendors, oversees retail communications, and develops a highly engaged retail team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Strategic Project Delivery : Direct the execution of strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment across divisions and the enterprise.

  • Innovation and Technology : Lead the implementation of innovative solutions guided by industry trends in retail.

  • Logistical Oversight : Oversee the logistical execution of key retail strategies, including project work and strategic direction.

  • Goal Planning : Facilitate goal planning, OKRs, SWOT analysis, and ensure alignment with division and Credit Union priorities.

  • Resource Prioritization : Support capacity planning and resource prioritization for key initiatives within the retail division.

  • Strategic Storytelling : Drive division prioritization through impactful storytelling and the development of strategic business cases.

  • Presentation : Present information on initiatives to all organizational levels, including executive leadership, management, staff, and external contacts.

  • Budget Management : Oversee budget planning and monitoring for key initiatives, including forecasting, expense remediation, and branch-level P&L analysis.

  • Team Engagement : Oversee programs and communications to build a highly engaged retail delivery team.

  • Vendor Management : Manage relationships with Co-Op and Shared Branching to ensure excellent service and products for members.

  • Operational Planning : Develop an operating plan and budget, including compensation projections for all areas of responsibility.

  • Staff Development : Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to staff, conduct personnel evaluations, and provide feedback.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum five years of people leadership experience.

  • At least eight years of experience in the financial industry with increasing responsibility.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Preferred five years in operations management, project management, and technology implementation.

  • Strong storytelling skills for presentations at all organizational levels.

  • Excellent tactical and strategic planning skills.

  • Experience with cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical skills to synthesize complex information and present it clearly.

  • Proficiency in change management, project management, and strategic planning.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective leadership and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Capability to lead teams through transformational change in a dynamic environment.
