Aerospace CNC Multi-Spindle Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production. The ideal candidate will notify supervisors of abnormal situations, make recommendations for improvements, maintain good housekeeping conditions, enforce safety practices, and complete required documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production.

• Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.

• Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work.

• Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.

• Complete and maintain any required documentation.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Index Multi-spindle machines.

• Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances (GD&T) and math skills.

• Understanding of basic tabletop gages – Micrometers, Calipers, bore gages, bore micrometers.

• Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of common “G” and “M” codes.

• Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools.

• Specific Controls used onsite - Fanuc controls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communications skills.

• Organization and time management skills.

• Problem solving/analysis.

• Tool grinding experience is preferred.

• Understanding of part drawings.

• Experience with machines such as Acme Gridley, Davenport, New Britain.

Work Environment

This role is based in an aerospace machine workshop. The available shifts include F-Sun 5am to 5:30pm, F-Sun 5pm to 5:30am, M-Th 5am to 5:30pm, and M-Th 5pm to 5:30am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
