Salal Credit Union Branch Manager in Tukwila, Washington

Position Primary Purpose: To manage overall branch sales and service activity to achieve sales objectives. Lead branch team to deliver quality service to members.

Essential Functions

Use discretion and independent judgment to manage overall branch sales and service activity to achieve Credit Union sales objectives. Provide leadership and direction to coach sales performance to achieve established results in sales goals and service standards.

Mentor and develop a direct team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic. Interview, select, schedule, and discipline members of the sales and service team using appropriate interpersonal management skills.

Oversee branch operations to ensure compliance with all Credit Union policy, procedures and service standards. Responsible for branch internal controls.

Assist members by performing account and loan functions as needed to meet branch sales and service goals. Handle member questions, inquiries and complaints.

Attend and participate in community events, outside marketing events and meetings to promote Salal Credit Union.

Contribute to the Credit Union's sales and service culture by ensuring sales and service team members understand and deliver Salal Credit Union's brand promise of building trust with our membership. Consistently demonstrate use of Sales Strategies Core Selling Skills and Sales Strategies Referral Skills to attract and retain loyal members.

Direct the sales team members to acquire new business using appropriate sales techniques, as well as retaining member business by building relationships and providing quality service.

Complete all education, training and professional development required for position.

Demonstrate product knowledge and meet annual product and service certification requirements.

Comply with all state and federal regulations and compliance standards, including: Identify Theft Protection Plan (ITPP), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Customer Information Privacy (CIP), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) as well as Credit Union policies and procedures. Complete required compliance training.

Ensure required records are retained in accordance with the Salal Records Retention Program and preserved in a careful and secure manner.

Use network PC workstation to access core system software to perform account transactions, queries, and specialized functions for accounts as needed. Utilize all Internet service delivery systems and Microsoft Office Suite to perform duties as needed. Operate and maintain department equipment and troubleshoot as needed.

Non-Essential Functions

Perform additional duties as assigned and work in other departments and branches as required.

Position Qualifications

Previous Experience: Performed successfully in a sales management position within a financial organization for a minimum of one year.

Education: High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Demonstrated Abilities: Express thoughts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Interact positively with all employees within an organization. Effectively coach and manage others to be sales and service oriented. Design, implement, maintain and monitor sales activity. Lead, coach and train others to meet sales goals. Listen to cues and ask proactive questions to select appropriate product or service to sell or refer. Evaluate and change systems to provide maximum efficiency. Analyze statistical data. Plan, recommend and work within a budget. Working knowledge of banking regulations and standard branch or department operations.
