The IT Security Architect is responsible for design and oversight of technologies protecting the firm’s electronic assets. This position will work in collaboration with all IT departments providing a secure environment to enable the business in support of the firm’s vision. The ideal candidate will remain current with new technologies and trends including Cloud environments, Azure/M365 and Entra-ID identity management (B2B, PIM, entitlement management).

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and manage a comprehensive picture of the company's entire technology footprint while identifying and evaluating vulnerabilities and/or weaknesses that could pose risk to the firm

  • Participate in design of dynamically scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and reliable application infrastructure on premise and in the Cloud while allowing the business to remain nimble in a competitive industry

  • Design and develop security controls that align with the ISO/IEC 2700x standards

  • Provide security and IT personnel with technical guidance and supervision

  • Design, implement, and maintain centralized SIEM platform while assessing threat analytics/metrics and investigating anomalies

  • Audit the effective coverage of established security controls across all technology platforms

  • Update and upgrade the firm’s security systems as required

  • Advise and assist in implementation of process workflows from a security auditor perspective

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, emphasis in Computer Science or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a complex organization required, including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture; experience in a professional services environment preferred

  • Strong background in secured Cloud environments, Azure/M365 experience preferred

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to use interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence others

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to others

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others

  • Strong organizational skills; able to effectively prioritize assignments and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
