Job Description This position supervises and leads the activities of 24x7 electric and gas first response employees assigned to the Kittitas Operating Base. They will provide leadership and expertise in responding to local risks & emergencies, compliance work, and work on customer premises. They will foster and maintain relationships with local emergency management teams, public first responders, and other stakeholders. And this individual will also provide local support and engagement of PSE's wildfire mitigation and response plan throughout the year, including regional community engagement and outreach.This position primarily requires an on-site presence with some opportunity for remote work. This is a single incumbent job to be used in the Kittitas Operating Base only. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. This job is under federal regulation by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol screenings that include screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites. Responsible for gas safety compliance work and compliance with PSE's Gas Operating Standards and Gas Field Procedures when engaged in operating, maintaining, constructing or engineering PSE's natural gas system. Job Responsibilities Employee Safety, Development & Team Building - Provides employees with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams: Demonstrates a passion for safety. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety including eliminating at-risk behaviors by conducting safety audits and inspections, eliminating hazards and near misses, and attending safety meetings. Sets clear expectations and holds employees accountable for performance as well as safety goals/targets where applicable. Oversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions. Ensures required training is successfully completed. Challenges and inspires employees to achieve business results. Accountable to ensure employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements, as well as safety standards. Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews and development plans. Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve employee, business, customer, and safety results. Ensures appropriate staffing and response in assigned service territory to maintain safety, reliability, compliance and operational efficiency of electric and natural gas energy delivery systems. Acts as liaison between Electric First Response, Gas First Response, and associated internal and external stakeholders, which include Operations, Customer Construction Services, Government & Community Relations, service providers, customers, and local government agencies. Shares corporate initiatives and directives from leadership to direct reports with an overarching goal of reinforcing a unified Kittitas operations team.
