TruFit Staffing Wood Manufacturing Associate in Tacoma, Washington

Wood manufacturing facility looking for a skilled operator, millwright, and production associates to join the team. Submit your resume to be considered! Location: Tacoma, WACompensation: $15/hour. Benefits and increases available after probationary periodShift: Days Responsibilities: *Production and processing knowledge of production processes, process flow and quality standards *Controlling operations of equipment or systems *In downtime situations, must be able to analyze cause of breakdown with equipment. *Must also determine and carry out maintenance of repair actions required to return the equipment to effective operating conditions. *Follow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications: *Must be proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments *Skilled in aspects of mechanical maintenance a plus *Extensive knowledge of use of machines *Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail *Extensive knowledge of use of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, depth gauges, indicators) to take accurate measurements *General knowledge of standard machine tooling *Millwright/Repair experience preferred but not required *Good communication skills *Must be team oriented *Commitment to follow all unit electrical/maintenance practices *Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment *Willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills The following qualifications are preferred: *Past employment experience in a manufacturing environment *Past employment in a wood manufacturing facility *Proficient in precision measuring equipment *TruFit Staffing is an equal opportunity employer and does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other basis prohibited by federal, state, or local law.*
