PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $20.19-$22.88 hourly. The full Pay Range is $20.20-$27.07 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. The Teller role at our Pierce County Financial Center plays a crucial part in providing quality service to our members. With your excellent member service skills and knowledge of credit union policies and procedures, you will ensure that all teller transactions are conducted accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner, making a lasting impression on our members' banking experience.

Training will take place in Tukwila Financial Center until the Pierce County Financial Center opens in Q1.
5-Week Paid Training Schedule:
· Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
After Training Schedule:
· Monday-Friday 8:30am-6:30pm
· Rotational Saturday’s 8:45am-1:30pm
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Transaction Management : Handle transactions in a reliable and member-centric manner, understanding and meeting individual needs.
Regulatory Requirements : Uphold compliance with regulations to ensure the security of member transactions and activities.
Remote Services : Educate members about our remote services, enhancing their banking experience and convenience.
Quality I mprovement: Share your expertise and insights to support the learning and development of new team members. Additionally, actively identify opportunities to enhance processes and procedures for the benefit of the team and our members.
Community Engagement : Contribute to building new member relationships and promoting our credit union within the community, actively engaging in sales and service activities.
Professional G rowth : Take part in coaching, job shadowing, mentoring, and training to continuously enhance your performance and skills.
E ffective C ommunication: Foster collaboration and information exchange to ensure that all team members work cohesively toward the Credit Union's goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned: Be prepared to step in and contribute to various tasks and projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
Desired Qualifications :
Teller or cash handling experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
Experience in promoting and selling financial products or services.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial transactions.
Successful completion of in-house teller training program.
Proficient math skills, with the ability to process account transactions accurately.
Ability to multitask.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills to ensure professional handling of member concerns.
Ability to work independently and as a team member, using discretion and sound judgment.
Additional hours as necessary to accomplishobjectives and goals.
