Description
POSITION PROFILE
This is a working supervisor responsible for leading and supervising the Home Depot Receiving and Small Package team, ensuring a safe work environment and efficient movement of packages and freight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
•
Lead efforts to operate safely and in compliance with all established HSE policies and procedures, ensuring that safety is always the first priority and consideration in all operations
•
Promptly report and investigate all accidents, incidents, and injuries in accordance with company policy
•
Assists with the management of Policies and KPI’s relating to Home Depot
•
Supervises HD Receiving Associates and Small Package workers, providing work direction, mentorship, development and training
•
Manages scheduling, approves timesheets and PTO requests
•
Administer performance reviews, and disciplinary meetings and actions in coordination with Human Resources
•
Ensure the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing small package freight per established guidelines
•
Main contact for Carlile Customer Service team for locating HD misaddressed or lost freight and special handling and delivery instructions
•
Oversees daily activities of the Receiving Associates; works with team to increase efficiencies and accuracy of receiving and data entry; ensure team provides excellent customer service
•
Takes the lead to solve problems and make informed decisions affecting the Receiving team
•
Read, analyze and interpret procedures, and/or governmental regulations and ensure compliance
•
Maintain open and effective communication with Home Depot personnel, internal managers and customers, proactively mitigating issues and concerns at each level.
•
Identify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, resolving issues in a timely manner
•
Field incoming calls and emails, responding appropriately and timely to internal/external customer service inquiries.
