GDIT is seeking a Splunk Expert to help provide support on our Cloud Support contract and build out the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to meet customer requirements. This position is full-time remote with a Period of Performance until 4/14/2023. The ideal candidate would live in the National Capital Region as this position could turn into a long-term role onsite in Reston, VA.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Designing Splunk implementation
Configuring Splunk implementation
Tuning Splunk implementation for given data ingestion and customer needs
Configuration of dashboards
Provide guidance on how to leverage Splunk
Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+ CE)
Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree , or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
8+ years of hands-on experience
Experience with taking a clean Splunk installation and configuring it into a robust and useful SIEM
Experience designing, maintaining, and operating Splunk dashboard as a SIEM
Experience with maintaining, operating, and upgrading Splunk clusters
Experience with unattended/automated Splunk installation and configuration
Experience integrating Splunk’s authentications and permissions to Active Directory
Knowledge of Splunk’s file system architecture
