FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: Mon - Fri, Core Business Hours Position Summary The Spiritual Care Program Director coordinates the Spiritual Care program and services across MultiCare Health System as part of the multi-disciplinary teams, assuring programs and services contribute to the healing environment and adequate spiritual support and care of a comprehensive patient care program providing for excellence in service to the critically and/or terminally ill, disabled, disadvantaged and individuals of various ethnic and religious groups. The incumbent oversees the MHS chaplains, incorporating the Spiritual Care Departments of regions as they emerge, to align with MultiCare Spiritual Care standards, providing direction and guidance for holistic interventions/counseling services to patients, the families of patients, employees, medical staff, and students. The Program Director oversees the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Internal contacts include staff and management throughout the organization. External contacts include patients, families, local clergy and religious leaders, and outside service agencies. Requirements Master's degree in theology, ministry or pastoral care Ordination/commissioningand/or faith community endorsement Four Units of ACPE accredited Clinical Pastoral Education Professional certification as a chaplain by a nationally recognized certifying organization concerned with standards for pastoral care and chaplaincy in institutions within one year of hire Five (5) years of pastoral experience Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity in a healthcare setting Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications Our Values As a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration and Kindness. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $81,245.00 - $116,938.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
