Robert Half Software Developer in Tacoma, Washington

Description

Robert Half is searching for a Software Developer to support of a distribution company based in Tacoma, WA. This Software Developer will be responsible for developing and enhancing the organization's mobile application development, with a particular focus on improving GPS accuracy. This position is a temporary contract opportunity (6 months) with the potential to extend that is 100% Remote. Apply now!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve the accuracy of the company's existing GPS application.

  • Work on web and mobile applications, with a particular focus on Android platforms.

  • Utilize ASP.NET MVC for backend development and bug tracking.

  • Enhance applications using Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS).

  • Improve the underlying infrastructure of our applications, including coordinates, pin drops, and location services.

  • Address and resolve issues related to the accuracy of our current applications.

  • Apply your skills in API and Database development to enhance the functionality of our software.

  • Use your knowledge in High Accuracy GPA to improve the precision of our services.

  • Collaborate with the team to build certain aspects of the application from the ground up.

  • Contribute to the backend development using languages such as C++.

    Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of software development experience, specializing in web and mobile applications

  • Proficient in developing high-accuracy GPS systems

  • Experienced in building and optimizing Android applications and browser-based solutions

  • Strong knowledge of ASP.NET MVC framework

  • Hands-on experience with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS) for development and version control
