Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health System is seeking an RN Project Manager for Performance Improvement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for addressing and strengthening patient safety, utilization of clinical resources, and achievement of desired clinical outcomes.

You will be serving as a project manager for various management-level work teams and will be providing support, expertise, and guidance in the following areas: the application of accepted clinical quality improvement methodologies/tools, data collection and statistical/operational analysis, outcomes measurement, risk assessment, best practices research, documenting and implementing process improvements, and evaluating desired vs. actual clinical effectiveness of performance improvement efforts.

As an RN Project Manager for Performance Improvement, you will be accountable for maintaining current knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, patient safety goals, and other regulatory requirements that impact matters within your assigned scope of responsibility. You will also be responsible for maintaining current knowledge of performance improvement methodologies and clinical informatics through regular review of the literature, attending conferences, and participation in professional organizations, etc.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about identifying and validating evidence-based best practices in clinical practice and patient safety to guide clinical areas in performance improvement activities. Furthermore, we require someone who is willing to research the nature and scope of impact on existing activities and make appropriate recommendations.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare-related discipline, and five years of related work experience that demonstrates the attainment of the requisite job knowledge, skills and abilities, including experience in outcomes measurement, risk assessment, data analysis/reporting and management of clinical work teams.

Master’s degree in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is desirable.

Licensure/Certification:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Nursing Commission.

Pay Range

$44.73 - $64.85 /hour
