Responsibilities

PACU RN role:

Provide pre-, intra- and post-operative nursing care to all patient populations undergoing surgical procedures. This work includes developing, implementing and assessing the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams and the patient and family. This position is responsible for providing Perioperative nursing care of all patient populations undergoing surgical procedures, to include ambulatory, acute and chronic patient care. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the direct and indirect implementation of the patient’s plan of care in the SADU.

Qualifications

Job Requirements :

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Minimum of 2 years current experience in an acute, inpatient PACU setting within the last 3 years strongly preferred OR Graduate of ICU residency with a minimum of six months ICU experience.

Experience with airway emergencies, (i.e. laryngospasms, airway obstruction, stridor and arrest).

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of date of hire.

Certified Perianesthesia Nurse (CPAN) or Certified Ambulatory Peranesthesia Nurse (CAPA) preferred.

Pay Range

$42.50 - $71.80 /hour
