Overview

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to support Department of Defense (DoD) projects. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the DoD leadership and cost community stakeholders to identify operational and application requirements
• Become a subject matter expert in the system user roles, applications, business rules, and features
• Provide user support to DoD Analysts searching and exporting cost data
• Work with the data initiatives teams to develop long term integration strategies for the integration of future databases, workflows, and analysis capabilities
• Review current system functionality and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies
• Document requirements and create feature documents to inform the software development team of the system specifications, business rules, design constraints
• Work with Cost Analytics team to identify analyst needs
• Interface with User community to explain data content used for analysis & collect information from analyst to improve system performance 

Skills Required

• 5+ years of experience in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing software system requirement specifications
• Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process, experience developing cost estimating relationships and cost methodologies, building cost models, applying inflation, phasing, collecting and normalizing data, performing detailed risk analysis and documenting all results.
• Experience with understanding of the cost estimating process with respect to Department of Defense (DoD) weapon systems and have hands-on skills and experiences analyzing technical and cost information, preferably experience with Operating and Support (O&S) Cost estimating
• Familiarization with DoD Cost Estimating and Reporting policies and reporting requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project)

• Secret level security clearance required

   

Additional relevant experience desired for applicants includes:

• Life cycle cost estimate development and documentation
• Knowledge of DoD Cost data collection, validation and normalization techniques
• Knowledge of Service cost databases such as OSMIS, Naval VAMOSC and AFTOC
• Public speaking/briefing
• Leadership

Education

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
