Title: QC Inspector Reports to: Quality Manager Pay Range: $17-$23/hr DOE Summary/Objective The Quality Control Inspector provides Quality Control support to ensure that products provided are in accordance with customer quality requirements. Works as directed by Quality Manager. Regularly interacts with customer’s quality requirements and assures compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Perform physical “on table” inspection of component parts utilizing inspection equipment (i.e. Vernier’s, calipers, gages, etc.) • Perform receiving inspection. • Perform “on floor’ in process inspection. • Recommend and/or verifies implementation of appropriate corrective action for quality issues, in coordination with management, engineering and purchasing. • Proficient with precision measuring instrumentation. • Blueprint reading a must. • Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity. • Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures. Requirements Competencies •Knowledge of industry quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9000 •2+ years experience using CMM, and preferred experience with CMM Manager Software Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
