Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our procurement operations, ensuring smooth and efficient purchasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and selecting vendors based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.

• Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up with suppliers.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs.

• Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status, resolve discrepancies, and ensure on-time delivery.

• Assist in negotiating contracts and terms to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.

• Stay updated on market trends and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.

• Support the Purchasing Manager with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).

• Proven experience in a purchasing or administrative role is preferred.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with purchasing software.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to work.
