Sea Mar's network of services includes more than 90 medical, dental, and behavioral health clinics and a wide variety of nutritional, social, and educational services. We are recruiting for the following position(s):

Full-time position available for our Behavioral Health Program in Tacoma. The CDP II or CDP II is the liaison between the public and the facility. He or She will be responsible for organizing and providing direct counseling services to patients in a secure setting. The counselor is the agent for providing services to patients whether on a one-to-one or group basis, performs assessment, evaluation, and intakes. Applicants are expected to subscribe to the disease concept of chemical dependency with the belief that total abstinence is required for on-going recovery from alcoholism and other drug addiction. Applicants must have no history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of two years prior to the time of employment. He or She should have demonstrated rapport, empathy for, and ability to communicate with recovery patients.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must possess the required college certificate that qualifies them to be a CDP.

  • Bachelor?s degree and/or Master?s degree required.

  • Must have a ?Chemical Dependency Professional? license from the Department of Health.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

The CDP II, is a mid-level job with up to three years of experience. Computer skills are a plus and experience working with adolescents and in the field is a must.

The CDP III, is a senior-level job with over three years of experience. Must have a Bachelor?s Degree up to a Master?s Degree.
