POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for Installing machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in the industrial establishment. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools Construct foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement and steel Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs Assemble machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures using hand and power tools Operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications Repair and lubricate machines and equipment Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved Attach pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms using bolts and clamps Attach load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes and chains, to crane hook Set up, brace and rig hoisting equipment's using hand tools and power wrenches Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice Other duties as assigned by Foreman or Superintendent Qualifications EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience NCCER Certification/License (preferred) Minimum 4 years of experience in millwright role KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations. When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors. Set a personal example of safe behavior. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume Common
