Our client is an American Manufacturing company that is focused on producing industrial packaging and containers. They are currently looking for a Materials Specialist to join their team in Tacoma! As a Material Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring smooth operations within our organization. You will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory management, including physical inventory checks, labeling, and updating inventory data within our MRO/ERP system. If you have at least 2 years of experience with inventory management and administrative support then this is the role for you!

salary: $25 - $27.98 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5:30 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

As a Materials Specialist, job duties include:

• Conduct regular physical inventory checks to verify stock levels and ensure accuracy.

• Label inventory bins/locations appropriately to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval processes.

• Add physical inventory bins/locations as required based on organizational needs.

• Coordinate with relevant teams to request the creation of bins in the ERP system to accurately reflect physical inventory setup.

• Work closely with the ERP system to update inventory data accurately and in a timely manner. This includes adding new parts to the system, based on physical inventory, supplied equipment BOMs (Bill of Materials), and working parts inventory logs.

• Create part labels and ensure they are applied correctly to existing inventory as well as newly delivered inventory.

Skills:

• 2+ years of experience working as a Materials Specialist or experience with inventory management in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with MRO/ERP systems.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
